Charles Edwards warns that Bitcoin could fall below $50,000 if quantum-resistant upgrades are not implemented by 2028.

  • Capriole founder Charles Edwards warns that if Bitcoin is not made quantum-resistant by 2028, the network could face a sharp loss of confidence, which could potentially push BTC well below $50,000 until a fix is implemented.

  • Edwards argues that only a major bear market may force the Bitcoin community to take the quantum threat seriously and accelerate protocol upgrades.

  • He believes Bitcoin could be one of the first major targets of advanced quantum computing because banks are already migrating to post-quantum encryption and can reverse or block fraudulent transactions.

The SEC ended its four-year investigation into Aave without recommending enforcement action.

Robinhood is expanding its sports prediction markets with new football-focused event contracts and “preset combo” trades.

  • Robinhood Markets is expanding its sports event contracts to include more granular football wagering, allowing users to trade on specific player statistics like touchdowns, receiving yards, and rushing yards.

  • The brokerage is rolling out the updates ahead of the NFL playoffs in January 2026, according to Reuters, as part of its push to grow its sports-focused prediction markets business.

  • Robinhood also introduced “preset combos,” which bundle multiple event contracts into a single trade that only pays out if all outcomes are correct.

Anthony Pompliano believes it is unlikely any public company will catch up to Michael Saylor’s Strategy.

  • Bitcoin entrepreneur Anthony Pompliano said it is unlikely any public company will be able to match Michael Saylor’s Strategy in Bitcoin accumulation, due to the scale and consistency of its long-term buying.

  • Strategy currently holds 671,268 Bitcoin, worth about $58.6 billion, representing roughly 3.2% of the total 21 million supply.

  • While Pompliano acknowledged it is technically possible for another company to catch up, he argued it is improbable.
